Weekly History Challenge

For the question posted on: 09/04/06

Name the man who helped draft four of the major American founding documents - The Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, The Constitution, and the Bill of Rights? One of his greatest contributions was the proposal of the "Connecticut Compromise" by which he satisfied both the smaller and larger states. He also, had the opportunity to represent that state in both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Congratulations to Collin from Greentown, IN;  who answered Roger Sherman and won this weeks drawing!  Many of you submitted Thomas Jefferson, which he did help draft some of the founding documents, however the key was the "Connecticut Compromise" and serving as a Representative for Connecticut. I will be shipping "Living Under God" to Collin as the prize for this weeks challenge. Also, those of you who submitted the correct answer will be put into a drawing for a chance to win $500 cash prize at or around the 4th of July (date to be determine). To learn more about Roger Sherman and the other Signers of the Declaration of Independence click below and get a copy of "Lives of the Signers".
